Mirror Wall Clock with Temperature Display and LED light

by Edwin

Wall clocks are just that, right? They’re meant to hang on the wall, blending in with the rest of the environment without calling any attention to itself since it ought to be seen only when required. Well, the Mirror Wall Clock with Temperature Display and LED light turns the tables around, as this $149.95 is most likely to capture the attention of just about anyone who enters into your home, especially when dusk falls and all the lighting around you goes soft. Not only does this device tell the time, it also lets you know of the current temperature and is a snap to hang despite looking like it is extremely complicated. All lights are built in onto the inner area of the clock that will then glow upon turning the switch, and the temperature will show up in the middle as the time runs around, providing you with an accurate room temperature reading. Doubling up as a regular mirror, you can also use it to check whether there’s anything stuck between your teeth or not – it really is your call. Guess that means hanging it on face level, eh?

The Sleeptracker Elite Pro Watch

by Mark R

Even though I have done this all my life, I still do not like waking up to an alarm clock. This is probably why I work from home, because I can’t stand being a slave to the alarm clock.

The Sleeptracker Elite is designed to combat this problem, and worn on the wrist like an ordinary digital wristwatch. All you need to do is set a phase alarm for the normal time that you awake, and then adjust the vibrating alarm window of time to have the Sleeptracker wake you.

Apparently, the Sleeptracker is set to wake you up an an optimal waking time. What you have to do is connect via USB connection in order to get sleep phase data on your PC. Apparently, the body has a certain cycle that knows what is the best time to wake, and the Sleeptracker can wake you in that proper window.

LEGO Minifig Alarm Clock

by Edwin

LEGO can be one of the better investments for your little one whenever he/she yearns for a new toy, since a whole bag of colorful bricks can always be used over and over again to create a new “toy”, depending on the kind of imagination you have. Enter the LEGO Minifig Alarm Clock that is pretty self-explanatory actually, where it comes in the form of a LEGO minifig complete with a digital clock that has been embedded into the minifig’s stomach. You will have to be on the Dark Side this time around since you can only choose from Stormtrooper or Darth Vader designs at $29.99 a pop. You can be sure that Darth Vader will use the power of the Force to help you get out of bed during those cold mornings when you prefer to snuggle under the blanket. As for the Stormtrooper, imagine that he is zapping your ears with some sort of aural laser to keep those sleepy eyelids open! Measuring 8″ tall, this would make for the perfect nightstand companion.

microsD card reader watch

by Edwin

Thinkgeek knows that microSD memory cards are in abundance these days, so it makes perfect sense to have a device that reads these little small-as-fingernails buggers anytime, anywhere. Not everyone carries a memory card reader with them, but most of us wear watches. Why not use your timepiece to read those microSD cards as well? Enter the microsD card reader watch from Thinkgeek, where it retails for a highly affordable $15.99, sporting a built-in microSD card reader while accompanied by a stainless steel bezel, back cover and buckle. Of course, the more reading you do on it, the faster your watch’s battery will deplete, but that’s just the way life is. Each purchase comes with a USB cable to hook it up to a computer for file transfer. At least it can still tell the time when microSD memory cards are no longer in vogue…

8-bit Watch

by Edwin

Everyone remembers 8-bit games, with their super simplistic graphics as well as ditties which tend to stay in your head for hours on end after the game is over and console stashed away. Well, for those who have a soft spot for the 8-bit era, remembering fondly how the soundtrack tends to speed up dramatically whenever you spend too much time in a particular level to add that touch of urgency, enter the 8-bit Watch which will certainly have your fellow video gaming friends clamoring for one as well.

This 8-bit styled wristwatch will feature a stainless steel face and ABS band, coming in black or white colors for $69.99 a pop. Strangely enough, being 8=bit doesn’t mean it is digital, so you have a couple of hands to help you tell what time of the day it is. Would be great if it had a button to play musical ditties from classic 8-bit games when pressed.

Garmin introduces Approach S1 GPS wristwatch

by Edwin

Most folks who play golf are pretty well off, or at least middle class at worst. Well, this means they have a pretty secure and cushy job, coupled with timeshare vacations elsewhere, own a couple of properties with the mortgage fully paid off perhaps, and drive a convertible sports car with an upmarket saloon for more ordinary errands.

This would also mean their choice of attire will be branded for most, not to mention having a pretty nice wristwatch with metal straps. Who would have thought that one would wear a GPS wristwatch instead? Garmin’s Approach S1 GPS wristwatch is meant for those who love spending time on the greens, as it is capable of displaying precise yardages to the front, back and middle of greens while boasting more than 14,000-plus courses pre-loaded.

Twist Alarm Clock

by Edwin

Getting up in the mornings can be a pretty hard thing to do, especially when you’ve had a particularly long day before and need at least 8 hours of rest to recuperate. Well, the Twist Alarm Clock could do its part in making sure you get up and out of bed so that you won’t be late for work for the umpteenth time, where this $19.99 (£14.99 in the UK) timepiece requires you to use your brain first thing in the morning. Why do we say so? Well, it doesn’t involve finding out where the snooze button is, but will require you to perform mental arithmetic with an alarm blaring in the background. There is a different sum to solve each morning, where you will need to twist the two rotary digits in order to complete the equation and make it silent. As for the third dial, it is there to work as a function selector. Talk about a contemporary looking alarm clock! While the sums in question aren’t too difficult at all, at least it uses more brain power than a regular model.
