Maple Phone Concept is a Wooden Wonder

by Mark R

I want you to remove all innuendo while you read this dialogue. “Hey is that some new type of cellphone in your pocket, or are you happy to see me?” “Yes, that is a new cellphone in my pocket, and I got a woody.” You see, the second guy has the concept phone that is made of wood, not a (ahem). Maybe I should quit while I’m behind here, but …

Biro Lamp keeps track of your pens

by Ally

Offices have a way about making pens disappear.  In my mind of course there is always some chuckling little imp with a gold earing in one of his over sized green ears that is chuckling in the corner with my pen.  The one pen I need to write down some extremely important phone number.  Okay so it’s quite possible that I’m one of the many that would lose their head …

The Rab Mixer makes mixing a little more childlike

by Ally

It has just occurred to me, upon seeing this design that I have never seen a novelty mixer.  I mean we have novelty gadgets in general galore.  However, the poor mixers they are stuck with just getting a few bright colors.  Yes, you can get the more expensive ones but they are just better, not novelty or cool.  I know it was exciting when they threw in a pink mixer, …

This is the concept behind the Bricycle, a three-wheeled wonder designed by …

Helios: Changing Barbeques as we know it

by Mark R

In an effort to use renewable energy sources and less polluting products, I’m surprised that I never see barbecues being targeted. Everyone always thinks of cars or big industrial factories as the ones that leave the huge carbon footprint, but no one thinks about grilling. I mean, if you’re burning something, that smoke has to go somewhere. And I’m certain that propane is some sort of pollutant because it smells …

World’s Practical (and Safest) Jet Pack Invented

by Mark R

Okay, time for something that everybody wants to read about, the jet pack! Back when I was a kid, I longed for the day when everyone would have one of these. Considering that this is the new millennium, I am really disappointed that someone has not mass-marketed these by now. I believe that we are well on our way to jet pack proliferation with designer Glenn Martin’s model. It isn’t …

Microsoft Sphere Proves the Computer World is Round

by Mark R

I’m surprised that someone hasn’t already covered this particular gadget yet, because it is definitely one of the coolest gadgets that I have seen in quite a while. We have covered stories on Microsoft’s Surface, a touchscreen mounted on a coffee table frame. The Sphere is the next step up from the flat display, as the user interacts with something round, for a change.
