Thumb Stadium Electronic Game Kit
![]()
Ah, handheld gaming sure has gotten a whole lot more complicated with releases from Sony like the PSPgo and the Nintendo DSi, so why not hark back to the good old days where the notion of handheld gaming did not mean the presence of some high resolution LCD display? Here’s the Thumb Stadium Electronic Game Kit
to get you started, and there are four different built-in games to choose from as described below.
Game 1 – ThumbWar
The object of ThumbWar is simple: press while the other player is pressing. If you do, you get a point.Game 2 – SlapJack
During SlapJack, Thumb Stadium randomly flashes the center LED red or green. Be the first to press when center is green and get a point. Don’t press if it isn’t green or the other player gets a point.Game 3 – Jai Alai
Center lights up ~ quickly press to “catch” your color. Press again to “throw” to the other player who has to catch on time and throw back. The time to catch gets shorter each throw.Game 4 – Reflexy
Reflexy is a one-player game. The object is to quickly press the button that matches the color in the center LED. You go until you miss or are too late. The time to react gets shorter each turn. After the game, your score is flashed ~ Center = x10, Red LED = x1. Press the Red Side Button three times to restart.
The Thumb Stadium Electronic Game Kit can be yours for $19.99.
Bomo Baby Carriage
As a parent of a toddler, I am always looking for the latest and greatest baby products. The Bomo Robot Baby Carriage might be one that I probably wouldn’t buy, even if I could afford it.
The point of this product is to put the little baby in, and then program it to automatically follow the parental figure around the house. It can apparently “see” obstacles and navigate around them, provided they don’t move independently, like pets or older siblings.
Of course, if you want to give the baby the wheel, that is an option. Manual mode allows the tyke to hit the accelerator and use a fully functioning steering wheel. You might want to make certain the safety gate is on the stairs first.
After the baby has taken his or her joyride, its unique horizontal swing motion will help put him or her down for a nap.

Children’s Inflatable 2MPH Speedboat
Summer’s here, so why not make the necessary preparations in advance for your kid to enjoy their summer in the great outdoors instead of spending their time cooped up at home right smack in front of the video game console? The Children’s Inflatable 2MPH Speedboat should make for a welcome distraction to Mario and Metal Gear Solid, offering your little one that there is more to life than just achieving a high score or pounding baddies to submission via the video game controller.
This is the inflatable speedboat that provides a safe 2 mph speed on calm water, such as pools or small ponds (play the video). The outboard electric motor is controlled by a child sitting in the inflated hull–a handhold with a finger trigger turns the motor on or off immediately; the boat can accommodate two children at once. The motor drives a shrouded propeller with no exposed blades that provides smooth movement over calm water; the motor can be turned 360°, so even backward movement is possible. Requires eight D batteries that provides up to five hours of operation. Deflates for off-season storage. Hull constructed from 3mm thick PVC. Supports up to two children (or 100 lbs.)
This is one $99.95 toy that is worth considering if you want to get your kid to obtain a tan this summer!
LLUON Kidscom computer for the little ones
Monkey see, monkey do – or so the adage goes. Well, if you’re one who has a junior version of yourself imitating your every move, chances are the little tyke would have asked for a notebook or computer of his own by now. Well, why not give in to his fancies this time round with the LLUON Kidscom computer from Korea? It seems to be equipped with what is the most colorful touch screen we’ve laid our eyes upon to date – hopefully this doesn’t mean that they’ll be wearing glasses sooner than their counterparts. Heck, we don’t think kids will be the only ones who are attracted to this as us adults with a curious streak within would also want to give the display a whole lot of loving touches. Otherwise, how else do you explain the gangbusters sales that the iPhone has achieved to date?

Taga Stroller Trike
Ah, strollers. For those of you who don’t know the fun of wheeling a baby around all day, you are in for quite a treat. Welcome to days of wearing both your arms and legs out as junior gets pushed around to places that may or not be compatible for wheels.
When my wife and I had our second child, we decided to buy one of those double strollers. Although they “conveniently” hold two kids, they really are hard to get around. What I would have given for the Taga stroller/trike. As you can see, the parent sits in a seat behind the tykes and pedals them to places.

Teach Me Time
Want to teach your kids one of the essentials in life? Then Teach Me Time device will fit the bill then, as your kids will then be able to know just when they need to scuttle off to the bedroom to get their shuteye so that mom and dad can have a little private time to themselves after a long day of work.
Forget all that big hand/little hand stuff; if you want to teach your kids how to tell the time, Teach Me Time is the answer. First off it’s an adorable color-changing nightlight. When junior goes to bed it emits a reassuring yellow glow, then when morning comes it turns green to show that it’s okay to wake up and annoy mum and dad. Simply set the desired time on the secret panel and, fingers crossed, snookums will soon learn that ambling into your room in the middle of the night is not in the least bit amusing, even if he/she is clutching teddy and looking unbearably cute.
Once the basics have been understood by Junior, the Teach Me Time becomes more versatile by turning into a 5-stage, talking ‘game’ that allows them to learn how to tell the time using both analogue and digital displays. When they’ve mastered that, this £39.95 enters into its third stage of life, being a fully functional alarm clock alongside the all-important snooze function.
Didicar keeps Junior occupied

Is Junior driving you up the wall that you have absolutely no idea on what can keep him in tow without you losing your cool? Enter the Didicar – it might sound extremely silly, but this wiggle-powered toy vehicle ought to keep your little one occupied for hours on end, giving you a little bit of “me” time that you deserve.
Kids only have to wiggle the steering wheel left and right to propel the Didicar forwards. And that’s just as well because most youngsters get bored of pedalling before you can say ‘But this cost mummy and daddy a fortune, you little…’. Ideal for use on flat surfaces, both indoors and outside, the Didicar is even capable of travelling backwards – simply flip the wheel 180° and get wiggling. Kids can even make it go faster by leaning slightly forward over the steering wheel and using their upper body when wiggling. We’ve had ours up to 6mph – and considering the average speed of traffic in most big cities, that’s pretty good going. If only they were road legal…
The Didicar could end up being the next scooter craze, although the £49.95 price point might put off parents who are running on an extremely tight budget at this point in time.
