Jabra Supreme Bluetooth Headset

by Mark R

I have reported on many Jabra products before, such as the EASYCALL.

One of the problems with reporting on Bluetooth headsets is that they are essentially all alike, but the SUPREME has more than one interesting function. It’s fling-boom arm serves to keep it compacted in storage, and also serves as its power on/off function as well.

The SUPREME also has a very soft cushion for the ear. It is pretty comfortable, but I will have to say that it will come off if you shake your head a lot.

NuForce BT-860 Stereo Bluetooth Headset

by Mark R

I have tried out some interesting Bluetooth headphones before, and it is good to see that companies are putting out high-quality headphones at relatively low prices. The Nu Force BT-860 headphones that I recently tried out falls into that category.

The BT-860 uses aptX audio coding technology for its quality sound, and it has the “impressive dynamic range” that it boasts about. Not only are these excellent headphones, but there is a headset and hands-free feature.

It’s a Supertooth! Supertooth! It’s the Supertooth HD!

by Mark R

This is the Supertooth HD, and it is a Bluetooth speaker designed for use in the car. I realize that you can’t see the back of this device, but it has a magnetic clip that is designed to hold it to the visor.

The Supertooth is good to have around if you need to take phone calls on the road, but don’t like to have something in your ear. It has dual microphones (one on the bottom and one on top) and two speakers with a 5-watt audio output and a 5.4-watt amplifier.

The big orange eye atop this black, gravestone-shaped device is the volume dial. If you push the center of it, you can give vocal commands like a Voice Dial, Check Battery, and you can take or ignore phone calls as well. You can also press the button for 3 seconds and redial the last number that you called. The button with the envelope on it will automatically dial the “SuperTooth HandsFree Assistant”.

Jabra SPORT stereo headphones comes with Endomondo Sports Tracker app

by Mark R

I’ve tried out Jabra products before, and they are pretty famous for their Bluetooth headsets. You can’t see this in the image, but their new Jabra SPORT is like two Bluetooth headsets connected together for a Bluetooth stereo headset.

I got a chance to try this out for myself, and I was quite impressed with its sound. Thanks to the AM3D Power Bass audio enhancement, I found that it kicked my ears when it played tunes from my Bluetooth connected phone.

WINGStand truly brings the iDevice and Bluetooth keyboard together

by Mark R

Apple has a nice peripheral for the iPad and iPhone with their wireless Bluetooth Keyboard, but you really need your iDevice to be at the proper angle if a keyboard is going to be any use.

This is where the WINGStand comes in. It can attach the iPad or iPhone to the keyboard. That might sound like a simple piece of plastic, but in the gadget world, little things like this can do a lot.

I don’t know why Apple’s wireless Bluetooth keyboard doesn’t have something like a Wingstand on it already. What were users doing before, leaning their iDevice against a wall?

The Jabra EASYCALL Bluetooth headset

by Mark R

There is nothing that I love more than a good Jabra Bluetooth product, and the EASYCALL lives up to its name.

I will have to say that this Bluetooth headset was the fastest to pair that I have ever tried. Normally, there is like a half-minute delay when turning the headest on to when the phone actually recognizes it. In the case of the EASYCALL, it only takes seconds from the moment it is turned on.

Of course, it has all the usual features, like the spoken battery and connection status. It also has the crystal clear sound and voice DSP technology, and the multiuse (connecting to 2 devices simultaneously).

by Mark R

For those who have ever wanted a Nissan GT-R in miniature form are about to get your wish with the Blue Drone R/C Racer.

Not only is this R/C car a tiny replica of a $90,000, 530 horsepower car, but it has a very unique feature. It can be controlled by a Bluetooth-enabled Android phone or tablet.

Yes, thanks to a free application, you can control this R/C car with the use of a touch screen, or steer it using your mobile’s accelerometer. The car has a range of thirty feet, is powered by three AAA batteries, and can last for about three hours.

Jabra Cruiser2 Bluetooth in-car speakerphone

by Mark R

Jabra recently unveiled both the EASYCALL and CRUISER2, and I got a chance to try out the latter. The CRUISER2 is your basic Bluetooth speaker, and is very similar to the FREEWAY that I reported about a few weeks ago.

It even has that clip that allows it to live on your car’s visor. This one comes with a mini USB to USB charging cable, and a car adapter.

The CRUISER2 is able to connect 2 Bluetooth devices simultaneously, and has dual microphone technology for excellent sound. I will have to say that the sound is good, but I felt the FREEWAY does it better.

It does have something that the FREEWAY doesn’t have with an FM transmitter to wirelessly sync with the car stereo via A2DP. As for the the Talk time specs, they are 14 hours, with 20 days available on standby.
