Aurvana Live! Headphones from Creative

by Mark R

Aurvana Live Headphones

Even though most people are addicted to iPod earpieces, there are some that want some bigger and better headphones. Like those ear cushioned headphones that we had to use back in the seventies.

The Aurvana Live! (exclamation point required) is one of the latest headphones from Creative. They have optimally contoured earcups in order to minimize internal sound distortion for accurate playback. These headphones can seal off all external noise and has a composite bio-cellulose diaphragm for “crystal clear and detail highs, coupled with deep, rich bass”.

I got a chance to try them out, and man, they played very, very well. I put in Transformers, and I was totally shut out from the rest of the world. I wouldn’t be wearing the Aurvana Live! listening to my iPod while crossing the street in New York City, but this is the perfect way to block out the rest of the world with your entertainment experience.

Pandigital PanTouch digital photo frame

by Edwin

pantouch.jpgThe Pantouch digital photo frame from Pandigital takes some pages out of a standard book (pardon the pun), featuring slide motion and touch controls that enable users to go through the photos using a patent pending ‘page turn’ effect, which effectively simulates a photo album courtesy of a simple forward/backward motion swipe. In addition, there are icons available for your fingers to tap when accessing digital photos, MP3 tunes and video clips. Depending on the size of the photo frame, you will have to fork out anywhere from $120 to $250 when they hit retail shelves this May.

Enter the iGo, a mobile device charger that is mobile. The kit comes with two Duracell AA batteries that allow a user to plug into a mobile device in order to recharge and/or power it.

Bluetooth Microphone fits inside your tooth

by Chris

Bluetooth Dental Mic

Since Bluetooth became a standard feature on most phones, people have been coming up with all sorts of new headsets. The ones that fascinate me the most are the ones that use the vibrations from the bone in your jaw to detect what you are saying. To me it’s cool and creepy at the same time. Less creepy though, than this new Bluetooth Dental Insert Microphone.

CSR MusiCore 1

by Edwin

csr-musicore1.jpgCSR has just launched the MusiCore1 – touted to be the first fully featured single-chip for cell phones in the world that packs both a stereo audio processor and Bluetooth capabilities. What does this mean for the end user? Why, it will help reduce the burden on your pockets as you will actually be able to save (in theory) up to 75% of the cost of an audio processor, in addition to 36mm squared of space which could be used for other purposes. The MusiCore1 is good for up to 100 hours of audio playback, and has the ability to decode MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA and SBC files, making it cater for most of all casual audio listening needs.

Folding LCD Monitor to add a lot of real estate

by James

Folding seamless monitor

More and more geeks are going to a dual monitor setup to not only provide for me monitor space (real estate), but also because it allows for placing tools and utilities on one screen, while the second screen can be used as an actual interface for editing, drawing and other creative endeavors. Sadly, though, because these monitors are separate entitles, one has to deal with the encasement on both interfering with the unbroken image that can move across both screens. That is, until now. If it gets picked up by a manufacturer, this Double-Sided Transforming LCD Display will enable for an unbroken wide screen image, that can also double as a second separate screen. Wow.

Spiderman 3 Movie Intercom Masks

by Edwin

spiderman-intercom-masks1.jpg

I guess these have been around for quite a while now since the Spiderman 3 movie has long ended its run at the cinemas, but they’re still cool enough to warrant a mention here.

Two realistic Spiderman masks with an intercom duplex system that allows you to talk and listen to your partner at the same time. Features: flexible microphone arm and adjustable intercom mask strap. Requires 2-9V batteries (not included).

They won’t come cheap though, and since you’ll need at least a couple of these, the £34.99 price tag could be rather prohibitive.
