MobiBLU Cube 3

It has been a few years since we reported on the MobiBLU Cube, which was, at its time, the “smallest full feature digital audio in the entire world”, not to mention the cutest.
MobiBLU has now introduced the third version of this dinky MP3 player, and they have chosen not to change a good thing with its trademark cubical shape. It looks like they haven’t perfected that fold-up Nanum that we reported on a few months ago.
I am pretty impressed that something as small as the MobiBLU Cube 3 can have so many features. Believe it or not, this tiny guy has 2GB worth of memory (1,000 songs), and it can support MP3 and WMA formats. MobiBLU also managed to stuff an FM tuner in, as well as a voice/radio recorder. The screen, small as it is, can be used as a picture and video viewer. However, you might need a magnifying glass to view this postage stamp-sized screen.

Podcastudio – Everything you need to start your own podcast

I’ve never really thought about doing podcasts, as I prefer to stick to the written word as my medium of choice. I do know a thing or two about audio recording, so I know that buying the right equipment takes a lot more than just picking up a cheap USB mic. That’s why I really like this Podcastudio.

Long Awaited Red Consumer Camcorder reveiled …
A little over a year ago, the video world was taken by storm by RED ONE, a revolutionary professional grade camcorder that took better than film quality video for about a third the price of it’s Panavision and Arri cousins. It was rumored to have an 11.4 MP chip with no noise issues or artifacting, and could shoot up to 60fps. Some thought it was vaporware until director Peter Jackson shot “Crossing the Line,” a short film on World War I, with it with stunning results same or better quality as professional equivalents costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, but for an $18,000 pricetag. And in that short period of time, everyone wants one. Then, a few months back, we reported on a rumored consumer version called RED SCARLET which would allow consumers to have RED quality HD at a consumer price. Today, Scarlet was introduced as reality.

Blockbuster go up against Apple TV
Apple TV, look out! You will receive a rival from Blockbuster pretty soon as word on the street has it that Blockbuster is working secretly on a device that enables video content to be streamed directly to a TV. Apparently, this mystery device will be launched later this month although very little is known about its hardware specifications, let alone a pricing structure. What we do know, however, is that the available content will be provided by Movielink, a former joint-effort of MGM, Paramount, Sony, Universal and Warner, which was acquired last year by Blockbuster. Movielink alone has a library of 6,600 movies, so the chances of not having something nice to watch in your living room is virtually nil.

E-light – Entertainment Light
Gadgets made for the Apple player are always popping up, that is why Coolest Gadgets has over 250 posts on the iPod Gadgets category, right? This special light is just another item on that big list, but at least it is original and has useful functions.
Priced at $100, the Entertainment Light is also known as E-light and can be used indoors, or outdoors. If you pick the outside, consider using it with an umbrella pole, but if chose the inside (of your house) just use it “normally”.

TV playback comes to the Eee PC

The Eee PC is a great little notebook, but with something this small and inexpensive, it’s bound to have its drawbacks. One in particular that had not been addressed until now was the fact that there were no TV tuner cards compatible with it. Thankfully Asus has been hard at work on a solution.
