Let’s face the fact - there are more than enough iPod docks out there in the market which probably outnumber the population of a small country, and having yet another one released will not do anyone any good at all. A speaker dock for a cellphone, on the other hand, is entirely different as those are extremely rare in comparison with their iPod-toting brethren. Trust has taken up the task to offer the sidelined musical cellphone market a pretty decent alternative when it comes to playback of your favorite tunes for everybody to hear.
Docking Speaker System for cellphones

Most games intend to bring the player into a virtual environment, but Philips is taking the opposite approach by bringing the in-game experience into the real, corporeal world. The Philips amBX system aims to achieve that by letting you feel the lighting within a game, thanks to a rather low tech solution. The amBX system will envelope your room in the corresponding light depending on where you are in the game. I suppose this concept will work well when you’ve holed yourself up in a small, dark room without any lights on.
Live News via Treo Phone

When a single-engine plane crashed into an Upper East Side apartment building on Wednesday, Fox News Channel delivered early video to its viewers from the crash site using a hand-held mobile phone with live streaming video.
Scott Wilder, a Fox cameraman, had been about 20 blocks away on another assignment when the crash occurred. Wilder ran uptown and reported live from the scene using a hand-held Palm Treo Smartphone that uses the existing mobile network to transmit video to the Fox News control room. From there, Fox News sent it out live on TV to supplement other video being shot by local traffic helicopters.
The picture quality from the crash site wasn’t spectacular, but it was live. Wilder was also able to talk to “Studio B” anchor Shepard Smith on the same phone and give a live “man on the street” report to Fox viewers.
As these advanced video phones become more and more popular, we can probably expect a surge of citizen journalism. If YouTube can make anyone an Internet celebrity, a video phone can make anyone a reporter. Right?
Digitize Your Old Vinyl and Tapes with the iVinyl
October 12th, 2006 by Mike in Audio/Video Gadgets
The PlusDeck 2c offered a way to get your tapes digitized, but it required a bit of installation which is really only good for the most geeky of users. I consider myself a geek and would rather not have to mess around with screws and all that.
Just like the PlusDeck, the oddly yet descriptevly named PhonoPreAmp iVinyl offers away to digitize both your cassettes andold vinyl records. Better yet, no installation is required as its completely USB based.

October 9th, 2006 by Mike in Audio/Video Gadgets
For some reason, companies feel it necessary to include all sorts of random little features in their products. Lately, the trends been to pop some massagers onto any product they produce. That’s well and good for chairs, couches, maybe even headphones, but an MP3 player?
That’s exactly what the main feature OSIM iGoGo is. The iGoGo includes 2 wireless massagers, which is expandable to allow for four total, and 7 different massage programs which you chose depending on how you feel.

NuVue Digital Photo Frames
October 8th, 2006 by Edwin in Audio/Video Gadgets, Electronic Gadgets, Photography
Just like the iPod, nearly everyone has a digital camera today. Despite being able to take far more photos than before, one of the biggest stumbling blocks of digital cameras is the fact that many of us do not process our photographs unlike the good old days where there were negatives to be developed. Instead, we just store all our memories in a digital format on some hard drive or memory card somewhere, without ever showing them off to the world. This is where Digital Photo Frames enter the picture, enabling you to share your memories with loved and close ones.

Have you ever wondered how it feels like to hold a Victoria’s Secret catalog in your hands which could interact with everyday household items like your notebook, home PC, as well as television? Wonder no more as the TouchBook brings TUI technology into lives worldwide with a reader that enables users to interact with the icons and words inside that subsequently retrieve digital content from another device. This means printed material can be turned into a remote control for digital content. Imagine clicking a product on the catalog, only to have it fire up the Web browser on your PC that brings you to the store’s online checkout counter with the item in mind already in the shopping cart.

October 7th, 2006 by Mike in Audio/Video Gadgets
As far as streaming music around your house, there’s a couple of options, the best probably being the Sonos System for its ease of use and sleek design. There’s a new system around now, and it’s called Sooloos.
The design of the Sooloos definitely gives the Sonos a run for its money, as you can clearly see from the picture. Anyone, even non-geeks, would like to have this in their house.
