iDo iPhone case and Amp

by Mark R

Today, I discovered two products, both are called iDo. I find several weird coincidences about them that I will go into detail about later.

The first is the Icon iDo, an amp that plugs into an iDevice, and the user plugs this amp into a stereo system. The end result is to produce some very terrific quality sound, much better than the iPhone’s external speakers. You can even plug headphones into the Icon iDo and will optimize headphone audio quality.

You have to be pretty committed to your iPhone to get an amp like this. Speaking of committed, you can “marry” your iPhone with this iDo iPhone 4 case. The case has a ring that will grasp your finger so you don’t drop your iPhone. By the way, the ring acts as a 360-degree kickstand to prop up the phone vertically and horizontally. See the photo after the jump.

Zero1.tv unveils VooMote Zapper

by Edwin

Zero1.tv certainly had something interesting up their sleeves at the recently concluded IFA 2011 in Berlin, which is the VooMote Zapper. We first saw the VooMote One sometime earlier this year, but the VooMote Zapper is a slight variation of the One so to speak, where the main purpose of its existence would be to convert your iOS device into an impressively smart universal remote – in fact, one that is capable of gaining full control over virtually all of your A/V gear, while letting you hunt down your favorite TV shows effortlessly.

Touted to be one of the newer, next generation remote controls, it was specially designed to be light-weight and convenient, and ought to be able to fit into most pockets without missing a beat. Being as tiny as a paperclip might prove it to be rather elusive for those who tend to lose things easily, but at least you know at that size, it will plug into the 30-pin connector on your iOS device in a jiffy without looking like an eyesore.

Bluelounge MiniDock charges the iDevice without a cord, but still needs an outlet

by Mark R

We have reported on Bluelounge before, like with the Refresh Charging Station. The international design studio has won some awards, and I would not be surprised if they won an award for this, the MiniDock.

The creators of the MiniDock have realized that people don’t want to stick a USB cord into their iDevice to charge it, and they don’t want to use an adapter to plug it into the wall. What they want is something without a wire, and the MiniDock is a place to put your iDevice on an outlet where it can be charged.

Secret Agent Phone Holder

by Mark R

Do you remember back when having a cellular phone was cool? This was back before everyone had them.

If you are going for a more unique look, you could go with this Secret Agent Phone Holder. It is worn like a real FBI-style holster, around the shoulder and across the back.

You could definitely look like some sort of cop or cool officer of the law like the the guy in the picture. The handlebar mustache is actually included, that is self-adhesive for the 70′s Starsky and Hutch appeal. I don’t know if the app to create a badge is included.

iGunCon syncs the iPhone with a bigger Apple product

by Mark R

I’m sure you’re probably familiar with Namco, creators of such great games like Time Crisis. If you never played that game, it involved the use of a light gun to shoot opponents.

Time Crisis has just been put on the iPad 2 and Mac computers, with the name of a Time Crisis 2nd Strike HD. Namco has sweetened the deal by giving out a free app for the iPhone that can pair with the iPad or Mac.

In other words, it turns the iPhone into a light gun. The app allows you to shoot with a variety of sounds like a handgun, machine gun, shotgun, and a grenade launcher.

BookBook iPhone 4 Case makes Apple’s smartphone look like a Bible

by Mark R

We have reported on a lot of smartphone cases before, and I will have to say that Twelve South’s BookBook is one of the more unique ones.

It is interesting to see that BookBook has managed to create a cover for an iPhone 4 that looks like a Bible. Not only that, but it also has some convenient pockets for credit cards and driver’s license.

I have a video of it showing someone going on the town with it after the jump. You will notice that there isn’t a hole in the back for a camera lens. The user has to pop it out for picture-taking.

The AppGun, Bringing Interactive Gaming to your iPhone

by Al

It never ceases to amaze me the number of different gadgets and gizmos available for the iPhone, this latest one is the AppGun, touted as an interactive gaming system for your iPhone.

To use, your phone is locked into the gun and serves as the view finder, triggers on the gun automagically make your phone shoot. The first game available will use augmented reality, so by using the iPhones camera your souroundings will become the background of the game onto which aliens to shoot will be superimposed.

The AppGun is scheduled for release on August 11th and will be available from PrezzyBox in the UK for £19.95.

AstroClip brings your iPhone and telescope together

by Mark R

My wife has an application on her Android phone that allows her to identify star constellations, but this AstroClip iPhone Accessory is taking star gazing on the mobile to a whole new level.

The AstroClip is a camera enhancement that allows the user to attach their iPhone to their telescope with 3 adjustable screws. This gives the user the opportunity to take a picture of the new comet that he or she has discovered.

I suppose that you will have to decide who is the best person to send the picture to if you find that asteroid that will destroy the world like in Armageddon or Deep Impact. I wonder if Hollywood will do this plot yet again, and whether this device will make a cameo appearance.
