MyVu video eyewear reviewed
I recently spent some quality time with the MyVu personal media viewer. It’s an interesting gadget; I’ve not experienced video on the move like that before. Check out the full review on our sister site Coolest Reviews.
Is Cupertino looking to make the iPhone Clam up?
According to patent applicaitons with Uncle Sam, Apple may be toying with a clamshell iPhone design that marries the multi touch screen interface with flip phone carrying convenience. The patent is for what is described as a “dual sided trackpad,” which is kinda a hand held dual screen Nintendo DS for adults. But that’s not all.

MiniGod Speakers

Somewhere, on a hidden island where stereos are worshipped, the natives are dancing a fiery, ritualistic dance to the MiniGod.
Okay, that’s not really happening, but it certainly looks like it should be. I mean, look at this MiniGod thing! It looks like it should be a prop at a high-tech luau. Its style is reminiscent of the Jetsons (especially with the ring around its neck) mixed with that CG movie Robots. That is, if Robots had been a darker, scarier movie. (Actually, it could be if you stopped and thought about it. I mean, it was a world inhabited by robots, for crying out loud. What happened to the humans?)
Believe it or not, these MiniGod Speakers require only a 9 volt battery for operation, then hook up with a computer or stereo system. You can also hook up to an iPod, and then you’ll have yourself a little amplification.
These MiniGod speakers are about 15 inches tall, and are actually available in a few different models and color combinations.

Mini Mouse USB Speaker isn’t what you’d expect

I’ve seen many mice that serve a variety of functions. Some will let you use them as a Skype phones while other will function as a vacuum cleaner. One thing that all of them have in common is that they’re also able to be used as a method for controlling your PC. Perhaps someone should have informed the makers of this USB mouse speaker.

Sega Toys i-Spin

It has been a while since I had the urge to yell “Sega” like those old Sega Genesis ads from the early nineties. However, seeing this i-Spin (pronounced Ice-pin) from Sega Toys was just enough to make me yell it out all over again.
Basically, the i-Spin is a dancing speaker robot that has the ability to move around on the dance floor and wiggle its ears to the beat of the ambient music. This takes me back to the time of the “Boppin’ flowers” that would move to the beat of whatever music you played near them.
The i-Spin can also do more than dance to the background music, but it can connect to an MP3 player such as the iPod. Why else do you think there is a little “i” at the beginning of its name? Basically, you attach the music, and the little Dogbert wannabe gets its groove on.

Fred 500XL PC Speakers

I’ve reported on some great PC Speakers before, and I would have to say that most of the satellite speakers usually look all the same. I have to give the Fred 500XL PC Speakers points for creativity.
What you are seeing here is not a magnified shot of earbuds along with a normal sized shot of a regular laptop. No, someone actually went and created speakers like giant earbuds.
The purpose of these speaker stereo earphones is to connect with your MP3 player or PC. There is a built-in amp with 3-way power which gives some serious sound action. As for power, it can run on batteries or a computer USB port.

Took Beanie features removable headphones

In the last few years I’ve made the discovery that I am in fact a hat person. I have a couple of hats that people tend to refer to as “old man hats,” though I don’t know what they are really called. During the winter months I tend to prefer my Nintendo beanie, which keeps my ears much warmer. I’ve never really had an issue listening to music with it on, as the beanie tends to help keep the earbuds in. However, if you don’t want to mess with those pesky earbuds in the winter, you can always get a beanie with built-in headphones.
