Mophie Juice Pack Reserve
Mophie is most famous for their Juice Pack Air, a protector/case that also serves as portable battery for an iDevice.
The Juice Pack Reserve is also designed to give an iPhone or iPod an extended battery life, but it isn’t a case. It uses a Zippo construction. The “Zippo” is the company’s own words, and it definitely looks like one of those flip-top metal lighters.
As you can see, the top flips off to reveal a 30 pin connector. Once this is plugged in, the Apple iDevice user is treated to 700mAh of battery power. That is enough for a quick charge, when you need it, and it is quite light.

Elan Passport Folio case for the iPad 2
I always like seeing what Griffin Technology is up to, and it looks like they are getting into the iPad 2 cover market.
This is the Elan Passport for the iPad 2. One of the biggest bragging points of the Elan Passport is the cover opens to wake and closes to sleep the iPad 2. Is their something technical or magnetic there?
The Elan Passport also has a tab that secures the cover when it is closed. Also included on the Elan Passport is a place to put a stylus, and it even has pockets on the left side for holding four credit cards.

id America’s Carbon Back-Skin
I got a chance to try out the Carbon Back-Skin from id America, and it is a way of putting some faux carbon fiber protective film on the back on an iPhone 4.
You might be wondering what the point is of putting a carbon fiber on the back of an iPhone. The first would be the cool tactile texture, and the other is an extra layer of protection from nicks and scratches.
The Carbon Back-Skin comes with one faux carbon fiber protective film, one microfiber cleaning cloth, and a squeegee for film application. By the way, the special adhesive does not leave any residue so it can be applied multiple times.

Case-Mate accidentally posts iPhone 5 cases early (Whoops!)
We have reported on Case-Mate before, and they make cases for a lot of mobile gadgets. A few months ago, we reported on Case-Mate’s contribution to the iPad 2.
It would appear that Case-Mate is trying to be current, and they might have jumped the gun. Case-Mate accidentally posted their cases for the iPhone 5 earlier today, even though the official announcement won’t be until mid-October. As you might have guessed, the company took the page with the new cases down. I can imagine the panic attack that the Case-Mate execs had after they learned that the posts for the iPhone 5 cases had gone live.

Fisher Price presents the Laugh & Learn Apptivity case
I know that my four-year-old son loves to play with our iPhone, but his slimy hands are not the ones I want holding an iDevice. Griffin made a product known as the Woogie that can protect the iPod/iPhone from baby damage, and now Fisher-Price has entered this niche market with the Laugh & Learn Apptivity case.
The case puts the phone in one of those baby toys that have the rings for decoration and play. There is a protector film that keeps the slime and drool out.
That is a lot like the Woogie, without the softness. What also makes it different from the Woogie is that that the home button is protected. This insures that the little tyke can’t access things on the iDevice that he or she is not supposed to.

Hey, check out my 11-foot iPod dock!
What we are looking at is actually an iPod dock, not a replica of a skyscraper designed for the living room.
If you look closely, you can see the iDevice on top. The tower there is 11 feet tall, so you will need a ladder to put it up there.
Yes, it is completely impractical, especially since it weighs in at 870 pounds. You definitely are going to want some help moving this, so prepare a moving party. While you have a party, you should use this for sound. It has 10,000 watts of sound in its five speakers, and it includes a USB, 1/4 inch, and two XLR inputs to connect to other audio components.

Atari Arcade Duo-Powered Joystick for the iPad
Since a lot of users want to use their iPad for games, Atari thought that they could make an accessory for that.
I suppose it is an effort from the company to make gaming as old-school as possible for the company’s old-school titles. For example, you can get a lot of 2600 games on Atari’s Greatest hits iPad App like Asteroids, Centipede, Missile Command and even more.
Of course, the 2600 joystick had only one button, and this guy has four. The joystick is also a different look than the old school console system, but the ball on the top is welcome. Perhaps you can get an attachment for a trackball like the Centipede arcade game of yore (actually, it was the early eighties).

SmartKeyboard concept gives your iPhone a touchable keyboard
It seems that touchscreens are here to stay, and I’m certain that touchscreen keyboards will be our future. I’m guessing that the next generation or two will be fully used to touchscreen keyboards with no haptic feedback.
Until then, you can use this SmartKeyboard for your iPhone. This is a concept designed by Jing Yang of the eico Motion Lab in China.
You can see it in action on the video after the jump, and how it sticks onto the bottom of the iPhone. The user now has what they wanted in an iPhone: buttons. Why, it’s practically a BlackBerry.
