Well, at least we do know the MoGo Talk’s minimalist design will allow one to fold the headset flat easily, snapping it in and out of its protective case in a jiffy.

The folks at iFixit decided to get their hands dirty by performing an autopsy of sorts on a new 3rd generation iPod touch, and their findings have been surprising to say the least. First of all, they discovered that this latest device has a Broadcom BCM4329FKUBG wireless chip in its chassis, making it very possible for the iPod touch to function on 802.11n wireless networks without missing a beat. In addition, it also comes with a a Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and a FM receiver and transmitter, alongside some space for a camera in the same vein as an iPod nano. Talk about leaving room for the future, eh? While you can’t take advantage of 802.11n support at the moment, hopefully future Apple updates will fix that.

Just to keep up with the current bleak times, Apple understands that you need to stretch your wallet even further, and hence has slashed the price of its iPod shuffle to just $49 for its new 2GB model, while the 4GB model will retail for $79 a pop. Available in five brilliant colors – silver, black, pink, blue and green, the iPod shuffle won’t sport anything new, still maintaining its intuitive controls that are conveniently located on the headphone cord alongside the VoiceOver feature that allows your shuffle to speak out song titles, artists and playlist names, making the still-missing display a non-issue.

Just like the new generation of iPod nano was announced earlier this morning, so do we have news of a new iPod touch as well, pushing the device into the third generation. One thing that would disappoint most people about this would be the lack of a built-in digital camera after being hyped up about it through various rumors and fan sites over the past weeks and months, but guess there is always the anticipation of seeing said integrated digital camera make an appearance sometime in the future with the fourth iteration of the iPod touch. So the yearly cycle continues, with yet another iPod being updated this time round. Apple’s event at San Francisco saw the appearance of Steve Jobs to the masses, and it goes without saying the man had a hand in unveiling the latest iPod nano to the crowds, now in its fifth iteration. What makes the iPod nano so special this time round? Well, Apple has decided to throw in a video camera, a microphone and a speaker to what is already deemed as the most popular portable media player in the world, allowing music aficionados to shoot short video clips (limited by its memory, of course) regardless of where they are. These video clips can then be viewed over the computer after performing a quick and painless transfer, and further uploaded onto YouTube if you’re so inclined.

As a freelance writer, I receive most of the payments for my services online, but every once in a while, I get a check in the mail and have to go to the bank to deposit it.

It would appear that USAA bank is removing any reason for me to go to the bank with an iPhone app that allows me to deposit my checks virtually. All I need to do is take a picture of the front of my check with the iPhone, then turn the check over and snap the back of it. Once I hit e-send, the money is in the bank.

Of course, I don’t have an iPhone, and that is the case for many others. Another limitation on this new paperless service is it is currently only available for active-duty military personnel. I guess that just makes sense, doesn’t it? How can someone stationed in Iraq make a run to the bank?

Even though the included steering wheel for MarioKart was just a cheap piece of plastic, it pales in comparison to this racing wheel for the iPhone/iPod touch.

Digital Steering Wheel from CTA comes comes with grip with a bigger radius, not to mention a suction cup mount that adheres to any flat surface. The angle which the user wants to play is also adjustable.

Did the success of the iPhone's Multi Touch technology pave the way for a new MacTab?

Although still rumor, the never dying speculation of Apple releasing a Tablet Mac has taken a step towards reality with an “anonymous” analyst leaking details to Barron’s of the upcoming new MacTab.

According to this secret Judas, Apple will release an oversized iPod Touch with a 10″ screen and updated media hardware sometime between September and November. Cost? Hovering around $800-900. Just in time for the holiday rush.
