These might be far from sentient beings, but technology has advanced to such a degree where the latest generation of robotic vacuum cleaners are able to get the job done in a more efficient manner than ever before. Enter the Roomba i7+ robot vacuum, which is capable of remembering a home’s floor plan while cleaning up specific rooms by name. To cap it all off, it is also able to empty itself automatically when full, now how about that for efficiency?

 The Roomba i7+ will offer a whole new level of intelligence and automation to the world of robotic vacuum cleaners, where it has been augmented by the ability to learn, map and adapt to a home’s floor plan. The introduction of Imprint Smart Mapping, the Roomba i7+ will be able to remember multiple floor plans as well as room names, enabling users to customize cleaning jobs while directing the robot to clean specific rooms through one’s voice, or taking the iRobot HOME App route. Once it has completed its cleaning, it is capable of emptying its own dust bin into the Clean Base. The Clean Base can hold up to 30 bins of dirt, so that you can even forget about vacuuming for weeks at a time.

In addition, it also boasts of a couple of Multi-Surface Rubber Brushes which will work in tandem with one another, allowing it to effectively clean both carpets and hard floors. Capable of performing an automatic adjustment of its height for the cleaning head, enabling the two brushes to directly engage with the floor. The first brush will loosen up and agitate dirt, while the other moves in the opposite direction so that it can extract and pull dirt in. Doing away with bristles that tend to bend and miss dirt, the flexible rubber brushes will hug the floor closely in order to clean everything from small particles, like dust and dirt, to hair and large debris. Expect the Roomba i7+ robot vacuum with Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal to go on sale for $949 a pop.
