GoPro releases new Hero5 range of action cameras
When it comes to action cameras, there are very few names out there that invoke a sense of confidence, and GoPro is one of them. After all, GoPro has come up with a fair number of action cameras in the past that has surpassed performance expectations, so much so that the company has even made the jump to deliver a drone not too long ago in the form of the GoPro Karma. This time around, their latest action cameras would be the new Hero5 range.
The GoPro Hero5 Black and Hero5 Session are no ordinary action cameras, but they deliver a new dimension to your adrenaline pumping adventures by being connected to the cloud, now how about that? Being able to auto-upload photos and videos to GoPro Plus makes life a whole lot easier to access, edit and share GoPro content regardless of where you are, as long as you have a decent Internet connection.
Not only that, durability is the name of the game for the new GoPro Hero5 Black and Hero5 Session. They are now waterproof to 33 feet without the need for a separate waterhousing, which means you can go snorkeling with them and even indulge in a little bit of scuba diving if you so desire. Other features thrown into the mix include voice control, image stabilization, simplified controls, and improved battery life. They can both capture non-fisheye perspectives as well as the traditional wide-angle look that GoPro has become famous for.
The $399.99 Hero5 Black will feature a 2” touch display, can shoot video of up to 4K at 30 fps, does still 12MP shots, relies on a simple 1-button control, and supports RAW and WDR photo modes. The Hero5 Session is the more affordable of the two at $299, being smaller in size and also does everything the Hero5 Black can, but it lacks the 2” touch display.
