The Ice Meister Slicer All-Season Sled works on snow or dead grass
As someone who grew up in a place with real seasons, it’s pretty heart-breaking to move to a place that is dry and desert-like. You would never think you’d miss a rainstorm, but when it only rains in California about once every 3 months, it’s a noticeable thing to miss. That being said, the concept of winter here is a pretty laughable ordeal as you might only need a light sweater at the worst of it.
While there might not be any snow, that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy some aspects of “classic winter”. This Ice Meister Slicer All-Season Sled will let you glide down hillsides as if there was freshly fallen powder. It’s a double-walled unibody sled that is meant for one rider that weighs 200 pounds or less. The trick is that there are icers on the bottom which use actual ice so you’re gliding along on frozen water.
This comes with with two ice trays that you fill with water, freeze for 24 hours, and attach the blocks to the bottom of the sled. It’s not light-weight in the slightest, clocking in at 10.7 pounds, so be prepared to get in an arm workout if you’re dragging your kids or just yourself up and down hills. This is an $89.95 purchase that seems like it would be a lot of fun to use, but depending on the temperatures where you live, it might not last you very long.
