Alcatel Tru arrives on MetroPCS at a pocket-friendly price

by

Alcatel is a name that some of us are familiar with, simply because we do happen to make use of their smartphones or handsets in the past. I clearly remember back in the day when Nokia ruled the roost, there was this special Alcatel handset that is powered by a quartet of AA batteries — just like a Nintendo Game Boy. Pretty neat, as this meant that the phone could travel with you anywhere you went without having to worry too much about power outlet types and the like, since all that it takes is four AA batteries that are pretty easy to find to keep it juiced. Fast forward to today, and we have the Alcatel Tru that has arrived on mobile carrier MetroPCS, all without breaking the bank.

In fact, the tagline in the press release did mention that the Alcatel Tru will be able to deliver a reliable smartphone performance to MetroPCS for “less than a date night at the movies.” That’s a pretty impressive claim, to say the least! The Alcatel Tru is said to merge all-around reliability with a pocket-friendly design, where it will retail for $29 a pop with eligible phone activation or upgrade.

At that price point, just what kind of quality do you think the Alcatel Tru will come with? Cheap plastics? Apparently not quite, as it will arrive with a soft noir faux leather back, offering a comfortable and easy to hold in-hand experience right out of the box. Not only that, it will be complemented by a reliable quad-core processor and efficient all-day battery, ensuring that your pocket remains well budgeted while being able to enjoy smart value.

Not only that, the Alcatel Tru will boast of a unique photo experience that most probably cannot be found in other smartphones, which will deliver Polaroid enhanced camera software right to the device’s camera application. This is an enhanced photo experience that enables users to more easily capture and customize those picture perfect moments in order to share with their friends and family. Other specifications include a 5” FWVGA (854 x 480) display, a 2,000mAh battery, a microSD memory card slot, 8GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM, and 4G LTE connectivity, powered by the Android L operating system.
