Smartphone Label Maker updates the past with a tool of the future
Remember how when you were a young lad back in the late 1980s or 1990s, there were some of your classmates who loved to have their items labeled? Those include their pencil cases to their books and even bags, while some might even to go the extreme and label their stationery with their name. Of course, then came the digital revolution that saw CDs being labeled, or having being printed, so the likes of Label Maker went into CD printing. Well, here is a modern update to an old school idea — the $199.95 Smartphone Label Maker.
The Smartphone Label Maker is a compact device that operates using your iPhone or Android device. It will hook up wirelessly to a smartphone, tablet, or computer, as the label maker goes about printing 300 x 600 ppi resolution labels for letters, packages, or home and office organization. The free app will enable one to design professional labels that sport various fonts and symbols before it prints it without toner thanks to black and white direct thermal printing. There will be interchangeable label cartridges that will let users swap out label types as and when required, and the printer’s automatic cutter opens the door for one to customize a label’s length from 1/2″ to 3 1/2″ wide and up to 9′ long. Do make sure your smartphone or tablet runs on iOS 7+ or Android 4.1.2 or later, otherwise it is also a sign that your smartphone needs to get upgraded.
