The Bedphones Gen 3 are functional and comfortable

by – on June 27th, 2016

Some days it seems impossible to fall asleep. There’s too much going on in your brain and while you’re not necessarily hearing voices in your head (that’s reserved for the clinically insane), it’s just…loud. The only way to calm your mind enough to catch some z’s before the sun rises is to drown out the hustle and bustle of your brain with music, but the problem is that most headphones aren’t exactly comfortable to wear when you’re laying down.

If you don’t like using a speaker because your walls are paper thin and you’re a considerate neighbor, or you just prefer to hear every note as crisply as possible, you’re going to need a more comfortable option. These Gen 3 Bedphones might make sleeping with headphones on a less painful experience as they’re less than 1/4” thick, and use memory wire ear hooks to make sure they fit exactly as you want them to. Of course, even being as thin as they are may still be a bit too uncomfortable for some people.

These will plug into your music-playing device through a 3.5mm headphone jack, which means you’ll need to keep your device near your head. There’s also an app for iOS and Android that will automatically shut your music off when you fall asleep. One of the newer features is that it is now equipped with an in-line mic and a button to let you control music and handle calls for those of you who want to use these as more than a sleep aid. This $59.99 purchase comes with replacement foams, a carrying case, and a satin eye mask.
