The Sauna Dome – why go to the spa when you have one at home?

by

When you to get to a point in life where you’re running yourself ragged, you have to make certain to take time for yourself. This can mean anything as small as a ten minute break with a cup of tea to going to a spa and getting a massage, but one is obviously going to cost you more. If you’re lucky and comfortable enough with idea of going to a Korean bathhouse, then that can be a great way to relax. However, if you’re only going for one sauna room there’s no point in shelling out money on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, so you may as well start finding a way to get your fix at home.

While building a full-room sauna might be going a bit too far, there are cheaper options such as the Sauna Dome as an alternative. This is a 2-part system with separately controlled heating sources that will give you a temperature range of 110-150 degrees Fahrenheit. There is a total of 5 heating pads in the dome, and 2 heating pads in the mat which use infrared heat that won’t emit any harmful frequencies.

The two parts of the system can slide into one another to save on space, and it is very easy to set up and put away. This will also let you configure the two domes as you see fit for laying down or sitting upright. Since you will be sweating in this dome, you’ll want to lay down towels and wipe off the waterproof mat when you’re done relaxing. This is no small purchase at $1,995, but if you don’t want to share a sauna with anyone or don’t want to pay to get into a spa, this would be the way to do it.
