The ProView S3 is a 3-axis gimbal that will let you shoot cinematic-quality video on your phone

by

Just about anyone can become a celebrity nowadays. We can make ourselves look like rock stars in our daily lives just by posting well-framed photos and videos frequently. Of course, whether or not you’re actually accomplishing anything with what you’re doing is what will determine the longevity of your following. For those who are honestly pursuing an end goal and need to carefully tailor their feed to a professional level on a shoestring budget, you have to make everything look good.

If you only have your smartphone as your camera equipment, then you likely know how hard getting video can be. You can’t run or move much with your phone unless you want shaky footage, and panning is only as steady as your hands can be. This ProView S3 is hoping to up your production quality 10 fold, by providing you with a 3-axis gimbal for your smartphone. If you’re not well-versed in what that is, it essentially means steady footage despite how much you move.

This can hold phones ranging in size from 4.7-5.7” with a width from 67-85mm, and will be able to operate in four different modes. You can lock all 3 axes, have the pan axis follow, tilt axis follow, or the pan and tilt axes follow. There’s only one button which turns this on or off, switches between different modes (lights will let you know which one you’re on), and controls vertical tilt and horizontal panning. There’s also a joystick to control what direction your camera is headed in. There are a lot of gimbals on the market for smartphones, but this $140 version seems like it works pretty well.
