The dokiWatch is a smartwatch for kids that’s actually useful
If you’ve never taken care of a child or puppy, which is essentially the same thing, it’s a pretty terrifying experience. They get into everything, put all nearest objects in their mouth, and unknowingly attempt suicide every five minutes because they just don’t know what anything is. While you can train a puppy as they grow up, the same is not so easily done for kids. Human intelligence makes them crafty, sneaky, and much more prone to danger. That being said, we want to keep watch on the little boogers and make sure they’re not getting into too much trouble.
Of course, they’re not going to be too happy with you if you try to slap a homing beacon on them. Just like it is with cleaning and brushing their teeth, you have to make things fun! This dokiWatch will seem like a cool smartwatch and phone combination to your kids, but will actually keep you close at hand even when you’re cities apart. This is a smartwatch that does video calling, GPS tracking, fitness tracking, and instant messaging.
In addition to being able to talk to you and their friends, there’s an electronic pet they can take care of (Tamagochi!), and an SOS button in case they need help quickly from an injury or a bad scenario. You’ll be able to keep track of where they are while being able to check in from your phone, and they’ll get a cool watch. This is meant for 6-12 year olds, available in mango yellow, dazzle pink, sonic blue, and shark grey. Each watch costs around $149, and is currently available for pre-order from their successfully ended Indiegogo page.
