The Mad Catz R.A.T.1 is an affordable yet awesome gaming mouse
If you don’t have a massive amount of money to blow on fancy gaming gear, you still want to find something that isn’t terribly expensive but will do the job. If it looks and feels awesome, that’s always a plus too. Most of the time those ultra expensive mice and keyboards are really only useful to the pros anyway, so there’s no use in paying triple the price if your skills can’t utilize the nanoseconds you’ll save.
By this point Mad Catz has made a good name for themselves in the gaming world, and they haven’t stopped making new goodies for us to drool over. Today the R.A.T.1 Mouse is on the docket, and it’s looking like it could do well for gamers on the go. This is a lightweight gaming mouse with 6 programmable buttons and detachable parts to make your long gaming sessions comfy.
It consists of three parts, including the tripod chassis which will act as the foundation, the sensor module which can be a mini mouse for travel when used by itself, and the adjustable palm rest. The latter will give you two positions to fit your hand comfortably. For those with access to a 3D printer, Mad Catz will also be making the CAD files for the palm rest available soon so you can tweak it to make your own! Its DPI range is 250-3000, and it comes with a 6 foot long cable. This is currently only available for pre-order, and will cost you $29.99, coming in color options of white or green.
