Archos Diamond Tab tablet arrives
Archos of France did roll out their rather stunning Archos Diamond S smartphone not too long ago last week, and this time around, it looks like they are going to forge forward with a tablet under the Diamond line – and the device will be aptly known as the Archos Diamond Tab, plain and simple. The Archos Diamond Tab also happens to carry the distinction of being the very first octa-core 4G/LTE tablet, which means if you are hooked up with the right carrier and data plan, surfing on this bad boy is not going to be a problem at all, but rather, a real breeze.
The Archos Diamond Tab will do its level best to maintain the high standards of a flagship product, where the aforementioned 4G/LTE connectivity will keep company the dual Band Wi-Fi, which would certainly place it in a superior league of tablets. Connectivity should not be sacrificed on a larger device, and customers should be able to eke out every iota of cellular and Wi-Fi data speeds that are available on the market today.
Underneath the hood lies the Mediatek MT8752 octa-core 1.7GHz processor that will be accompanied by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. This rather potent combination would mean you should not find the tablet be in want of processing muscle, and neither should you run out of space too fast. Since majority of tablet owners are beginning to enjoy gaming and more CPU-heavy actions on their respective devices these days, Archos’ Diamond Tab is well positioned to meet these specific tablet needs.
Your eyes too, will be pleased with the 7.9” IPS screen with a resolution that clocks in at more than 2K at 2048 x 1536 pixels, hence you should not have any issue with spotting the smallest details. As for the operating system of choice, that would be the Android 5.1 Lollipop that runs right out of the box – meaning, there is no need for you to worry about waiting for an update, which is a good thing, of course. Expect the Archos Diamond Tab to be available from October onward at £179 apiece.
