Archos delivers new 50 Helium Plus and 55 Helium Plus smartphones

by

When it comes to new smartphone releases, these happen to be dime a dozen, and there are plenty of smartphone manufacturers out there who roll out a slew of new devices each year. Archos happens to be one of the less popular names, but this does not mean that they skimp on quality where the hardware that they work with are concerned. In fact, the company has just revealed a couple more smartphones for the masses – the new Archos 50 Helium Plus and the Archos 55 Helium Plus.

The Archos Helium range will boast of a refreshed style complete with sleeker designs as well as a “Glass Effect” finishing to add that touch of premium goodness. Those who are interested will be able to choose from either Jet Black or White Frost exteriors, where both of the Helium Plus models happen to be distinguished by the quality as well as brightness of their screens.

For starters, the Archos 55 Helium comes with a generous 5.5” display for maximum reading comfort, whereas the Archos 50 Helium Plus would have a smaller 5” display in a more compact manner. The HD resolution of both models, when working in tandem with IPS screen technology, would leave you lusting after its brilliant colors and wide viewing angles.

Behind lies a 13MP shooter, while the front has a 5MP camera, with autofocus capability and LED flash thrown in for good measure to deliver crystal-clear photos even in low lighting conditions.

Both models will run on the Android 5.1 Lollipop mobile operating system, where it will also feature Dual SIM support which allows you to make a clear distinction between your personal and public lives. Throw in 4G connectivity, and you have got quite a winner here. Both models will be available in July 2015, where the 50 Helium Plus and 55 Helium Plus will retail for $109 and $139, respectively.
