The Drumi is a foot-powered washing machine
When you don’t have a washing machine in your house, it can be extremely expensive to go to a laundromat. Not only do you have to load up clothing, detergent, and softener, but you also need to bring a metric ton of quarters. If the machine is on the fritz, or someone washed something particularly smelly, you’re going to have the run the machine multiple times, and lose out on a good deal of money.
If you only need to wash a few things at a time, and would rather wash small loads at home, then the Drumi can help. This is a foot-powered washing machine that takes less detergent and softener to use, and doesn’t require you to leave the house. It will take about five minutes out of your day, as a cycle needs only two minutes to wash, two minutes to rinse, and a minute to spin. The preparation, draining, and hanging will add on a little time, but it’s better than spending hours waiting on clothes that may or may not be clean at a laundromat.
This is very compact, and can only wash 6-7 articles of clothing at a time. Since it can handle being either wet or dry, you can keep it in your shower, or move it to your room to act as a hamper. Its small size will make you very aware of when it’s time to do laundry. This will cost you around $129 if you have interest, though it is currently only available for pre-order.
