Pronto is now available for your purchase

We did talk about the Pronto at the end of last year, but back then, the device itself has yet to be released and revealed to the masses, although on paper it does sound like something which is worth having and carrying around. Basically, the Pronto will be able to transform your iPhone into more than what it can be – by turning it into a personalized universal smart remote in an unprecedentedly easy manner. Working alongside the Peel Smart Remote app, it will enable one to gain control of one’s entertainment devices, TVs, set-top boxes, DVDs and Blu-ray players, all directly from the iPhone itself, not to mention doing so without burning a huge hole in your pocket and at the same time, transforming your home into a smart and connected one.

Kiss goodbye to standard remotes, once you have experienced Pronto and all that it is capable of with the right software, you will never look at a standard remote in the same way, ever again. First of all, you will need to download the free Peel Smart Remote App and pair up your iPhone to the Pronto. Once done, you will be able to get started by enjoying some universal, smart control goodness. There is no need to locate other remotes when you make the switch from live TV to watching a DVD, as all that is required of you would be to tap the universal remote icon in the top right corner of the app screen, choose DVD and hit play in order to switch up your viewing experience.

In fact, Pronto with Peel Smart Remote App has been specially optimized in order to control over 3,000 entertainment devices, and these will include the major TV brands such as Samsung, LG, Sony, Philips, Vizio, Panasonic and Toshiba.

As Pronto is palm-sized and lightweight, it will be able to fit in the smallest of spaces. I suppose if there is one major drawback to it, it would be the relatively small size – you know the experience of a small remote getting lost somewhere in the vastness of a comfortable couch!
