Kraftwerk is a portable power plant that keeps you off the grid
We are attached to wall outlets almost as closely as our devices are. Tablets, phones, gizmos, and gadgets have to be plugged in regularly to keep up with how much we use them. While it’s not too taxing at home, it’s almost impossible to find enough plugs when you’re out and about. Wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t have to deal with electricity altogether?
The Kraftwerk will let you free yourself from the grid by using standard gas instead of electricity for fuel. This is a trade off that will take some consideration, but there are several pros that may overshadow the cons. While you will need to have access to fuel every now and again, it won’t be an every day ordeal. Filling this once will take all of three seconds, and will give you enough energy for 11 iPhone charges. The fuel it uses is easy to find, as lighter or camping gas is available in most stores.
This means you won’t have to plug this in every night or at all since it uses gas. It can also be used anywhere and in all weather conditions, making it perfect for camping trips. It’s small enough to fit in your pocket, and doesn’t have the added weight of batteries. This will cost you $99, and is currently a successfully (almost 2x the goal) funded crowfunding campaign. Should this project deliver as projected, you would receive your gas-powered charger just in time for the holidays next December.
