Samsung reveals their new SE790C curved monitor
When one talks about curved displays, most of the time it would be one of the huge behemoths that we have seen grace the floors of tradeshows and the ilk. However, here we are with Samsung and their spanking new SE790C curved monitor which claims to be able to deliver the ultimate when it comes to immersive and a comfortable viewing experience. Of course, I am quite sure that the South Korean conglomerate must have taken a page out from their playbook, taking into consideration how they do have the expertise in delivering a curved TV to the masses earlier this year.
The newest and most advanced curved monitor, model SE790C, is touted to be able to deliver an enhanced immersive and comfortable viewing experience when it comes to multi-media entertainment and multi-tasking. Working in tandem with an optimized curvature design, ultra-wide quad high definition (ULTRA-WQHD) resolution and a superior contrast ratio, this brand new 34-inch curved monitor SE790C claims to be able to deliver enhanced productivity and entertainment functionality that falls within a sophisticated and ergonomic design.
Seoggi Kim, Senior Vice President, Visual Display Business, Samsung Electronics, shared, “All curves are not created equal. Samsung’s SE790C offers an industry-leading and award-winning curvature for a truly immersive, comfortable and differentiating viewing experience. Combined with superior picture quality, productivity and entertainment-enhancing technology features, and design sophistication, our latest curved monitor delivers on our brand promise to push the limits of what display solutions and innovative technology can deliver.”
The innovative 3000R(curvature radius of 3,000mm) design of the SE790C would be able to offer viewers a stark, noticeably different viewing experience as opposed to traditional flat screen monitors as well as other curved monitors that are in the market. The viewing distance would more closely match the natural curve of a viewer’s eyes, making it result in a distortion-free viewing experience with less eye strain.
As for the pricing details, that remains to be sorted out – but it should not reside in the entry level side of things, this is for sure.
