HP Omen notebook delivers high end PC gaming on the move

I am quite sure that there is a fair number of gamers out there who probably figure out that there really is no substitute when it comes to PC gaming – consoles are not quite up to the mark, especially when it comes to genres like CRPGs, while FPS games are always played in a more accurate manner using a mouse and a keyboard. However, there has been quite a fair number of decent attempts in the past by the like of MSI to roll out gaming notebooks, and this is one particular market that HP too, would like to explore – what with their latest HP Omen notebook.

The HP Omen is touted to be a gaming machine which will merge performance, portability and style – all rolled into a single package that has been specially designed for gamers. After all, which gamer would like to play and not win? Surely all of them participate in it in order to come out tops, and the HP Omen intends to be the tool and platform to fulfill that wish.

Expect the HP Omen to be stutter-free, as it is powered by the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M and quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, accompanied by a 15.6″ diagonal, 1080p touch-enabled display, a 128GB SSD for faster loading times (with options for 256GB and 512GB, depending on your budget), apart from a choice of either 8GB or 16GB of RAM. As for your graphics memory, you can opt for 2GB or 4GB.

HP has also concentrate on what is on the outside, where its industrial design has been specially concentrated around gaming. Since heat tends to be the enemy of performance, the has been engineered from the ground up in order to manage thermals. There are dual fans that will keep the entire chassis nice and cool as it pushes hot air through exhaust fans at the rear of the system, allowing you to enjoy marathon gaming sessions without having it heat up.

All in all, the HP Omen will measure 19.9mm thin and tip the scales at 4.68lbs, sporting a starting price of $1,499.99 onward.
