The Magnetic Chess Board takes a new perspective on an old favorite

by

Our lives never seem to slow down, and it feels like there’s always work to do. Finding a night to hang out with your significant other or friends is a challenge, but if you’re lucky enough to live with them, you can find ways to make each other smile. Coming home to the dishes being done or finding a note on the bathroom mirror is always pleasant, but wouldn’t it be fun to have a real game night together?

Well, it’s actually kind of difficult to organize that sort of thing, so it might be best to play a game over a longer period of time that you can both participate in. The Magnetic Chess Board is a chess set that will let you play vertically, and mounts on the wall like a picture. Through this, you can move one piece at a time when you’re home, and and will have plenty of time to think about your next move. Of course, if you do end up having enough time to play a full game, then you can take it off the wall and set it on the table.

This is an 18” square wooden frame that has a black and white checkered plastic top. Seeing that the pieces are magnetic, you won’t have to worry about disturbing your current game by moving it. This will cost you $79.95, which is a bit steep, but it is a pretty neat idea. It’s also far less likely to become a terrible mess like some versions of this we’ve seen in the past.
