Iconia Tab 8 W lets you work on the move

by

Now here is a spanking new tablet that you might want to check out if you are looking for a breath of fresh air, instead of using one that sides with the iOS or Android platforms. In a nutshell, the Acer Iconia Tab 8 W will be an 8-inch tablet that will be powered by Windows 8.1 with Bing, and not only that, this particular tablet will be accompanied by a one-year complimentary Microsoft Office 365 Personal, delivering full-access to those applications which are crucial when it comes to being productive on the road, ranging from the all time popular Word, to Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook.

Measuring 9.75mm thin and tipping the scales at just 370 grams, the Iconia Tab 8 W is highly portable for it to be carried everywhere with ease. Not only that, it is good for up to 8 hours of non-stop performance, and the narrow 7mm bezel would be able to go some way in enhancing one’s viewing experience on the 1280 x 800 HD display with IPS technology. Underneath the hood lies an Intel AtomTM Z3735G quad-core processor, a Micro USB port, dual stereo speakers, dual cameras , and a microSD memory card slot. It is nice to see Acer make a shift from Android-powered tablets to that which run on Windows 8.1. Expect the Iconia Tab 8 W to arrive this October at 149 Euros.
