This Party Game is a Real Shocker

Sure, we’ve all been there before, a birthday party, bridal shower, or some other (yawn) festivity that we all would have rather skipped, and just stayed home to watch TV. There are drinking games that tend to liven things up, but sometimes those just aren’t appropriate, and what about teen parties, or sleepovers? What are we gonna do to get things going?

Check out the Shock Ball! Get your (unsuspecting?) friends together for a seemingly innocent game of ” hot Potato” and bring in the Shock Ball. This small electronic ball actually delivers a series of electrical shocks to it’s players. The unit comes programmed with a variety of games, or make up your own, and add some squealing excitement to your next shin-dig.

The rules for playing are “shockingly” simple. Just pass the ball among the players and the ball will give a random electric shock to the player of it’s choosing. If that player drops the ball, they are out of the game, and have to live with being a wimp for the rest of the evening.

The Shock Ball is meant for older kids, say, starting at around 14, no fair bringing it to preschool. Each ball turns itself off after one minute of inactivity. The instructions also state that the Shock Ball should not be used by individuals who have epilepsy, heart conditions or a pacemaker, a fact you should stress emphatically, not only as a safety measure, but to heighten the fear factor while you play.

So if you want to up the excitement at your next party, or you just have a serious mean streak, the Shock Ball may be just the thing you are looking for. You can have one for under 20 bucks, from amazon.com, but I’m not coming to any of your parties…..

Seems like playing musical chair with one electric chair, which is randomly selected.
