LG G Pro Lite announced

It seems that LG does not want to take the same road that other smartphone manufacturers have done by offering a “Mini” version of their existing flagships (with the likes of Samsung leading the way), as this time around, we see LG unveil the LG G Pro Lite. Just out of curiosity, do you prefer to call your handset “Lite” or “Mini” at the end of its product name? The LG G Pro Lite would surely compete in the same market space as that of the Samsung Galaxy Mega (which will arrive in 5.8” and 6.3” sizes), where it sports a 5.5” display itself right out of the box.

Apart from that, the LG G Pro Lite would also arrive with a Stylus Pen which will further increase the smartphone’s usability, delivering a way for one to enjoy quick and accurate handwriting with the ability to have it stashed away conveniently in a slot that is located at the top of the smartphone. For customers who have started to use their smartphones as their portable media players as well, LG ensures you will not be disappointed with entertainment on the go by equipping this smartphone with dual speakers for excellent audio performance – whether you want to pair it up with headphones or not.

Apart from that, the LG G Pro Lite will also arrive with a slew of other practical and convenient UX which features all the benefits of LG’s premium G Series, the G Pro and G2. KnockON will be able to power on the G Pro Lite with but just two taps to the display, while Pause and Resume Recording would let one record short snippets of video that can then be viewed as one continuous file, while QSlide will be able to control up to three different apps in a single window. Expect the LG G Pro Lite to arrive in Latin America first before other markets like Asia, Russia, China, India and the Middle East follow.

As for the rest of the hardware specifications of the LG G Pro Lite, we are looking at a dual-core MT6577 1GHz processor, a 5.5” (960 x 540 pixels) display, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, an 8-megapixel shooter at the back, a 1.3-megapixel camera in front, a 3,140 mAh battery, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean as the operating system of choice, Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity.
