Apple iPhone 5C introduced as “The Most Colorful iPhone Yet”

Did you manage to buy into the cheap iPhone hype? I guess after all the dust behind the supposedly budget-oriented iPhone 5C has settled, not too many people are impressed by the amount of money that they have to fork out for what is deemed as the “most colorful iPhone yet”. Seriously? It arrives in five colors (blue, green, pink, yellow and white) to get you started, and this would mean the folks over at Colorware might just see their business affected, if at all. Firstly, the iPhone 5C would arrive with a 4” Retina display, Apple’s very own A6 processor, an 8 megapixel iSight camera, a new FaceTime HD camera, the ability to support numerous LTE bands worldwide, and of course, iOS 7 as the operating system of choice.

Not only that, the iPhone 5C intends to be a thing of beauty, where it features an all-new design that has been crafted from a single, hard-coated polycarbonate body complete with a steel reinforced frame that delivers a solid, sturdy feel. The steel frame itself would be where all the sensitive internal components are kept, while it also doubles up as the iPhone 5C’s multiband antenna. Apple has also taken the slightly artistic route by creating soft, matte, microfiber-lined cases that will be intentionally contrast the glossy, hard coat finish. It does take some getting used to, these silicone cases, as they sport unique circular patterns.

Connectivity options on the iPhone 5C also include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, and for those who are interested in picking this puppy up, the 16GB model will retail for $99 a pop in the US, while the 32GB model is going to cost you $199. Needless to say, those price points would mean you would have to tie yourself down to a mobile carrier for the customary 2-year contract. Between this and the iPhone 5S, which would you go for?
