Samsung NX1000 SMART Compact System Camera

When it comes to the world of digital cameras, I would say that it can be quite safe to assume that many folks do lean more towards the Canon and Nikon persuasion when it comes to the masses. Obviously, there will also be others who would settle for nothing but the very best, and these are the people whom you will find use Leica systems – which some say is the Rolls Royce of the camera world. How about Samsung? Well, the South Korean company seems more suitable to cater to the entry level and prosumer crowd, and they do not disappoint in this aspect with their latest shooter, the Samsung NX1000 SMART compact system camera.

Just what makes it so “smart”? Apart from laying claim to delivering professional-like image quality and integrated Wi-Fi which delivers instant photo sharing capability, it is also adequately sized for you to carry it with you wherever you go without worrying too much about the bulk or weight.

It is interesting to note that the Wi-Fi connection can be accessed with a touch of a button, which is a good idea since that would translate into power conservation – perfect if you have a full day of photoshoots ahead of you. A dedicated Smart Link Hot Key that is located on the top of the Samsung NX1000 would also make sharing and storing photos a snap.

What kind of color options does the Samsung NX1000 come in? Unlike Batman who wants everything in black, here we are with the Samsung NX1000 coming in not only black, but you can also opt for its polar opposite, white, and if you happen to pick up the Samsung NX1000 for a girlfriend, wife or daughter, then you would be thrilled to know that it comes in pink as well.

The Samsung NX1000 will be accompanied by an all-purpose 20-50mm lens and external flash, a large, bright 3.0-inch LCD screen for composing images, 1080p HD video capture capability, and technologies such as Smart Auto 2.0 to bring out the inner photographer in all users. There is a 20.3-megapixel CMOS sensor located underneath the hood, delivering fast shutter speeds of up 1/4000 seconds so that you will not miss a precious moment.

Seems like a very impressive P&S camera and although
high megapixels aren’t everything, the 20.3MP that this camera has under the hood should produce some very nice pictures!
