Swann MP3 DJ Doorbell

Most of us would have installed a regular doorbell or chime that alerts us of someone in front of the house, while those who are of the old school variety would settle for a door knocker. Since we are living in the 21st century, how about an electronic doorbell that keeps up with the times, capable of playing back your favorite tune to add that skip into your step? Yes sir, the Swann MP3 DJ Doorbell is a customizable wireless doorbell which can hold up to 10,000 songs with a 32GB SD memory card, where it comprises of a speaker unit and a push button doorbell unit.

The speaker unit is unique in the sense that it can be removed and function as a portable music player whenever you leave the home, talk about having more than just one function! All music is transferred via USB, or you can always remove the SD memory card and use a memory card reader instead. Included with each $49.99 purchase is a complimentary MP3 editing software for you to make simple remixes of your favorite tracks for that truly unique doorbell tune.

I am not sure that it is a good idea to integrate a door bell with MP3 player. How to distinguish if it is a guest at the door or just my favorite song played? Also a few minutes long song – even the best – seems to be terrible as a door chime. It should be a few seconds long, not minutes! One other weak point is the speaker. It is much too small and its volume is woefully inadequate. So, in my humble opinion it is and totally unnecessary device. By the way, I have nothing against MP3 doorbells. I have one of them in my house, bought from kakadu-usa.com. It is much better and and I can definitely recommend it.

Your comments make no sense at all.

Firstly you have listed all the reasons why in your ‘humble opinion’ this product is no good. Then you recommend another product which in my humble opinion (I checked it out) is almost the exact same thing.

The songs are uploaded MP3 so like any mobile phone ring tone you can choose LENGTH and portion of song.

How do you know ‘its volume is woefully inadequate’ or are you referring to the one you actually have and are also recommending? It’s a doorbell.

So while it’s not a good idea to integrate a door bell with MP3 player, blah, blah, blah, you can definitely recommend it too? just a different brand that’s more expensive right?

‘seems to be terrible as a door chime’ again you mean the one you have that you don’t understand how to use?

‘How to distinguish if it is a guest at the door or just my favorite song played?’ I know I always have this problem whenever my phone rings I cant work it out ?? REALLY?? I’m not sure if this is a serious question or not. I would think not but then again if it were, it would be cognitively congruent with the rest of your review.
