ViewSonic has quartet of portable entertainment solutions coming your way
When you talk about ViewSonic, chances are your mind would be transported over to images of cheap monitors that tend to punch above their weight, but this time around, take a break from monitors. ViewSonic has just announced that they will be previewing a quartet of entertainment solutions at Pepcom’s upcoming Holiday Spectacular event. Among these four devices would be the ViewPad 7x, the ViewPad 7e, the V3D245 and V3D231 LED monitors, and the PJD5523w projector.
We will look at the remaining three after the jump, but just what does the Android-powered ViewPad 7x bring to the table? For starters, it will have the latest Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system running in the background, letting you access Android Market apps for that increased level of productivity on the go. Connectivity options include HDMI and DLNA, while your senses will be treated to dual cameras and SRS surround sound capability. With a 1,024 x 600 multi-touch display and NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor running inside, this is not a tablet to be trifled with.
As for the ViewPad 7e, this 7″ tablet won’t see any Honeycomb action, but rather, the smartphone-centric Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system alongside Amazon Services for Android integration, Amazon Kindle for Android for eBook reading, and RiteTouch for writing straight onto the screen itself. You can always output its display via HDMI to a compatible device, while Flash support and dual cameras round off the rest of the features.
The “twin terrors” of the 3D-ready LED monitors known as the V3D245 and V3D231 will deliver a 2ms response time, 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, HDMI 1.4 connection and integrated SRS Premium Sound to excite your senses with an unsurpassed 3D experience. The 24″ V3D245 will be able to support over half a thousand 3D games in 1080p thanks to its integrated NVIDIA 3D Vision wireless emitter, while the smaller 23″ V3D231 will have TriDef 3D software that lets you play over 370 PC-based 3D games.
Last but not least is the PJD5523w WXGA DLP projector which sports a widescreen 1,280 x 800 WXGA native resolution, and a high brightness level and contrast ratio of 2,700 ANSI lumens and 3.000:1, respectively.
Time to start saving up for what ViewSonic has in store for the holidays, no?
