Panasonic Toughbook 31 series get upgrade
Panasonic knows that their Toughbook 31 series is tough-as-nails, but that does not mean the range does not deserve an upgrade. This fully rugged laptop will be powered by the new Intel Core i5 and i3 processors, not to mention increased RAM, hard drive capacity, and speed as well. Oh yeah, since you will be working in a rather “hellish” condition (otherwise why the need for a Toughbook, no?), why not give you up to 20 hours of battery life as well since you might not be able to find a power outlet wherever you are?
Not only that, Panasonic has decided to throw in a brighter sunlight-viewable screen to help you save your eyes in the long run. Such improvements will clearly make the MIL-STD-810G and IP65 certified Toughbook 31 all the more desirable, making it as the ideal solution for mobile professionals in mission-critical environments, including first responders, military personnel, and field workers in industries such as telecommunications, utilities and energy.
You can choose from the Intel Core i5 (2540M or 2520M depending on the model) or i3 (2310M) processor, letting you enjoy desktop-class performance on-the-go without compromising on world class reliability. Where graphics are concerned, you will be able to take advantage of discrete graphics from an ATI Radeon HD6750 card. This is the 6th generation of the flagship Toughbook clamshell laptop range, and they are more or less legendary in their reputation.

You can also drop screen brightness to a mere 2 nits for concealed nighttime use – critical when it comes to the safety of military users.
Other hardawre specifications include Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, optional Bluetooth 2.1 and Gobi2000 3G mobile broadband connectivity from Qualcomm. Certified on the AT&T, Sprint and Verizon Wireless 3G networks, it will let you more or less remain perpetually connected – no more excuses for not replying that email from the top brass!
