Render lets you do magic tricks on an iPhone

by Mark R

Stage magic is one of those professions where it is good to know a lot about technology. How else you can you fool an audience?

Apparently, a lot of magicians get their tricks from another source, and they don’t make up all their own tricks. For example, Sean Scott is a professional magician who designs and sells illusions to other magicians. One of the tricks that he is selling is Render, which is made for the iPhone.

You can watch the video below to see what it is about. In all honesty, I can see why Sean incorporated and iPhone into the act. After all, most people have them in their pockets already, so why not do some tricks with it?

You can see how intriguing it is to see a coin appear inside the phone, and then somehow make it magically appear. Then there is the trick with the origami crane that folds up on the screen and magically appears.

I would have to say that Render would be the coolest iPhone App ever, but it is all a trick. It looks like you would have to pay to find out how it is done. For some reason, I don’t think it is a camera action, but some interesting sleight-of-hand.

actually it is dire, you need to have the gimmick stuck on your phone at all times and its very easy to spot if you stop waving your phone around, the video has been filmed to fool people into buying it, not as an example of how it works. The ASA in the UK was set up this month to stop false advertising on websites and I have reported this to them as an example of something that needs to be stopped

It is a rubbish trick, you have to have a bit of plastic stuck on your phone forever and its easy to spot. this trick was made and filmed to just get money out of people, not to use as a trick to fool other people.
