Babysitting Mama for the Wii
by Mark R
We have reported on gaming accessories that required dolls, like the Baby and Me Special Edition.
Now there is Babysitting Mama, which is related to the very popular Cooking Mama game franchise which is at 6 million games and counting.
Like the Baby and Me, the Wiimote is made to be put in the doll itself, and the user can play all sorts of baby games like feeding, putting baby to sleep, burping, changing diapers, massaging, or even dressing. I’m going to assume that this is done through some interaction on the screen and the motion control in the Wiimote itself.
I’m sure that you can probably see what audience that this is for: little girls. I think one of the most interesting things about this toy is that the packaging can double as a cradle. Most toys come in impossible packaging to break open and it is completely broken and useless after you get it out.
As you can see, the doll looks like an anime character. I wonder if there is any plans for other stuffed toys or dolls to be put through the Nintendo Wii treatment. The price of the Babysitting Mama kit (for lack of a better word) will be about $54.90.
