Elecom USB Drive in disguise

by Ally

Having a straight forward USB drive is just pure nonsense.  It’s not worth your time until it has decided to disguise itself as something entirely different.  After all, all of the best USB drives out there are in denial of their true function.  It’s just no fun when they just give up and reveal that they are nothing more than an average USB drive.  Thankfully Elecom is more than happy to provide a whole bunch of USB drives pretending to be plugs that need to be inserted into your wall.

These small drives come in black, blue, green and pink.  They even come with fancy data encryption software that can be downloaded through Elecom.  Once it becomes available for sale you’ll be able to find these with 4GB of storage.  They will be out in August, so you won’t have all that long to wait for these to hit stores.  It’s said that it will definitely make it onto Geek Stuff 4U.  At that point they’ll be priced at ¥3,200 or about $37.

Looks stupid, has a stupid price and companies need to stop wasting material and time and money on USB crap period. There are a lot more ways to use your thinking caps then playing around with nonsense gadgets that are one too many already. Now if they come out with a USB that stores 1T space in that size, now that would be impressive and worth getting- otherwise, it’s just another toy to play with for a week and then lose in your drawer.
