Inflatable Sleeping Coat is raincoat, sleeping bag, and mattress

by Mark R

This Inflatable Sleeping Coat is more versatile than the jacket that Marty McFly wore in Back to the Future II.

This super-jacket, for lack of a better word, is designed by designer Lin Tsui-Wei, and it is a raincoat, sleeping coat, sleeping bag, and even a mattress all in one.

Normally, this coat ends at below the crotch and above the knees, but the Inflatable Sleeping Coat has a detachable skirt that goes all the way down to the feet for protection from the rain.

Of course, what really makes this work is the inflate-ability. You will note how you can sleep with it on and inflated for cushioned softness during the wintertime, or lay it down like a mattress in the summertime.

Now, I have no idea how it inflates. I am assuming that there isn’t some sort of mechanical pump inside of it like an emergency raft. I’m guessing that has to be done with the user’s lips. I could be wrong, though.

I’m also guessing that this is probably the perfect outfit for anyone who wants to be on Man vs. Wild. A recent comment from my source says that it would be useful for the homeless. That kind of undercuts the plight of the homeless, doesn’t it?

Not a bad idea for a multifunctional sleeping bag. The orange color combined with black is the alternative looks and youth. But it will not freeze at night, its owner, I think you want to use fleece lining and a variety of membranes, so as not to get wet.

Wow, that is really cool. Would be really handy for going to festivals as you could wear your sleeping bag while you find somewhere to camp! :-)
