Everyone wants to save money these days (and has been since time immemorial), since hoarding riches tend to give us a false sense of security. Well, for those who want to make sure that they spend as little on energy as possible, how about getting a programmable timer for your home? That’s what the Programmable Digital Timing Timer & AC Plug Socket White offers, featuring 20 different schedules of On/Off per day which translates to 140 On/Off each week. You will be able to set a minimum time of just 1 minute and maximum time of one week, helping you gain better control of your electrical appliances as well as lighting fixtures throughout your home whenever you are not around. At just $9.69 a pop, it makes cents on the issue of dollars and sense – hmmm, I’ve got that the other way round, but it was just to capture your attention on the present buzzwords in the current economic climate.

Coolest Gadgets would be oh so more useful if from time to time they took into consideration what they are Oooohing about.

Take this product. I would buy one in a heartbeat. But for the US market this sucker is useless in its current form. Take a look at the plug layout Mr. Editor. It is non-US std. Fact I don’t know what country this is for as it does not even look like a Euro std layout either.

Give it some thought.

It’s a UK plug.
I’m using a very similar model which I purchased here, it’s a great gadget. Amongst other things I use mine to turn my lights on 5 minutes before my alarm clock goes off which makes getting up on those dark winters mornings a lot easier :)
