I own a DIR-412 and I am not satisfied with the performance. Signal strength is not better than my Linksys WRT54G. Two walls, and you'll get only one bar signal if not nothing. Very disappointing because one of the Wireless N promise is to have increased range coverage.
I also frequently lost access to the 3G internet. My computer can access DIR-412 administration pages and got an IP from it, but somehow it failed to trigger the 3G modem to initiate an internet connection session (I setup only 3G internet connection and I set it to connect on demand.) I have to restart the router (that is turn the power off-wait-and turn it on again) to enable the 3G internet access.
