Light switches have had the same boring design for many years.  The only way it can be changed up is typically to add a decorative light switch cover and usually those look incredibly cheesy.  Which means it’s best to just attempt to make the switch blend in with its surroundings.  Well now you have another option and yes, it is actually something that’s available for purchase.

Despite that it has a very electronic looking button and appears more to be a design that most of us will never live to see, it was actually created and being sold.  Yes, it’s going to be a little difficult to get your hands on due to not being sold online, but it’s worth the search.  The cover of your switch is completely customizable and illuminates in the dark, making it easier to see.  It’s also a low voltage button and is touch sensitive.  There’s no word on pricing, but if you go to the Basalte website you can find out where these are being sold.

According to the website, this item is not for sale in the U.S., as of yet…only Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Bummer…it looked interesting.
