		<description>While competition is generally good for the consumer, it doesn&#039;t work that way in this case unless Amazon and B&amp;N agree to a common format that will work on both platforms.  If you&#039;re locking yourself into a specific format, there is no real competitive choice.

I guess one could argue that you could download the iPhone app for both companies, but what I would really like to be able to do is buy a book from B&amp;N and read it on my Kindle.</description>
