The only thing they did have a problem with was the Leatherman attached to the pack. But, yeah, the quick release clasps make that little task relatively painless. Of course, you COULD carry a man-purse... me, I've thought about wearing one of those military load-bearing systems, but they're far more expensive and look even more threatening. I actually GOT one of those, and it’s great – especially when you want to carry essential geek stuff (mobile, leatherman, PDA, etc…) but it’s too hot&humid outside to carry a full daypack.
