Motion Detecting Phone calls you when set off

Hammacher has yet again come out with another way to give you security at home, but in a more subtle and affordable way.  It’s probably better suited for a vacation home or to leave out while you’re away on vacation.  Either way you choose though, this phone will blend in quite easily.  It’d probably blend in far easier in an elderly person’s home, because that’s exactly where this phone looks like it belongs.  However, it’s still not going to stand out enough to make someone inspect the phone closer.

The phone will detect any motion in the room when someone walks past the phone.  When it does that, it will call the number you have already programmed in.  At that point the microphone built into the phone will allow for you to listen in on what’s going on in the room.  That would be especially great for vacation homes if you have someone who comes in every so often to check on the house.  A quick listen in could let you know that it’s just them.  If not you can call the police yourself.  To purchase the phone it will cost you $59.95 from Hammacher Schlemmer.
