Continuous Ink reservoir may cut cost of ink
by James in PC Gadgets
The Rihac printer reservoir makes ink last a lot longer between fills.
It’s said that one of the most expensive items per ounce in the world isn’t gold, it’s printer ink. And based on how much I recently spend for a tiny color ink cartridge for both my printers, it doesn’t surprise me one bit. It sure would be great if I have a larger ink reservoir without having to take out a home equity loan to pay for it. Maybe Rihac is such a system.

refillable 100 ML reservoirs for 6 colors of filtered ink in various formulas
Made by Continuous Ink Supply Systems, Rihac is a large array of at least six printer colors which connect to printer cartridges via a series of feed tubes to each color. The cartridges are merely the business end to the large six color reserve which sits outside and next to the printer. The ink is custom formulated according to specific printer specifications and can also be made as dye inks. And the ink filtered to guard against print head clogging.

Bottles come in 100ML and 1L sizes
And the large reservoirs can be refilled as needed. Cost runs anywhere from $85 AU for 100ML to $500 for 1L bottles. But the basic set will set you back $140AU for the reservoir and a complete set of 6 100ML bottles with Black, light magenta, Magenta, Cyan, light cyan, and yellow color inks.
