The winner of last week’s coolest gadget competition is the Go commando with Night Vision Goggles.

Using infra red, these night vision goggles allow you to see up to fifteen meters in absolute darkness and even at full power, the light emitted is barely visible to the naked eye. Perfect for playing hide and seek in the garden, or watching owls and bats of an evening. And yes, you do get to pretend your stalking the bad guy (although I believe it is a prerequisite to hum the ‘Mission Impossible’ theme tune as you do).

In second place we have the Coolest Pistol Camera from Japan – Doryu.

Probably one of the coolest cameras being reviewed on the net. Invented by Mr. Ryu Koakimoto, this gadget is designated for accurate way to shoot a picture, with way similar to shooting a gun.

Finally in third place comes the Solar Coffee Maker.

While this may be the first solar Coffee Maker concept, it will undoubtedly not be the last. The small appliance houses a battery that is charged by the sun. Gun Ho Lee also gave it an LCD display with amount of power, hot plate and pod filter. The designer was apparently inspired by watching a documentary about how carbon effects the ecosystem. Maybe that should be required for all.
