As you may have guessed, that is a picture of me taking a picture of the DXG-533V, with the DXG-533V. I realize that sounds confusing, but if you like the look of the camera as well as the quality of the image, then this is the camera for you.

The DXG-533V is part of the Luxe collection, and appears to be made for the females. In fact, it comes in five stylish colors of Pink Argyle, Blue Argyle, Pink, White, and Black that accessorize well with whatever Miss Universe contestants are wearing. In fact, DXG invested quite a bit of time making certain that the Luxe Collection had some presence at that pageant.

I tried out the camera, and it is quite similar to other DXG cameras that I have used. It has a 3.0 TFT screen, easy to use navigation, plus an HDMI cable for the 720p video. It also included a carrying case that is more of a purse than it is a carrying case. As a man, I don’t think I would want to be seen in public with it.

That is not saying that the Luxe Collection aren’t good cameras. They definitely have a female, fashion-oriented audience in mind, and I’m sure that DXG will succeed in marketing to them. Interested parties should definitely head over to the DXG USA site and purchase it for $150.
